• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

MM-100 Mike and Code Black was confirmed almost immediatly. L/G 911 cancelled due to weather, also you would not have to had received "3rd hand" if you were still getting our pages, ok sorry I could not resist.

Also not that it matters but Colorado uses a coroner system and not a medical examiners (ME) one like many states, my wife used to work as a coroner in Larimer County.

Yeah, maybe you could correct me on this though.... I thought that "ME-8" which was the unit that responded as the coroner stood for medical examiner. Maybe they still go old fashioed or something???

LARIMER COUNTY - A deadly accident on Highway 14 in the Poudre Canyon closed the road for about six hours Saturday evening.

A 1996 Ford pick-up truck carrying a horse trailer jackknifed and flipped over after it tried to pass in a no passing zone.

A car coming from the other direction slammed into it and the driver of the pick-up, 49-year-old Patrick Hegland of Longmont, was killed.

Investigators say visibility was low at the time of the crash, but it was unclear exactly how much of the accident was caused by the weather.

The driver of the car and all of the horses involved are expected to be okay.
