SDS100/SDS200: Multi function knob jumpy

I've had my sds 100 for about a year and making single turn selections are almost impossible. I move it 1 click and it jumps about 2-3 selections. How can I fix this?

Has anyone's scroll control knob on their SDS100 started to misbehave? When operating it in the usual manner, scrolling through the menu settings etc., it will go crazy, one click and it jumps forward a bunch of selections and then slightest touch of the knob will cause the highlighted setting...
