I added a 3rd sound card to my computer that streams my feeds and I'm getting a lot of cross talk when I try to use it. The first two I installed work good with very minimal cross talk. Both are name brand sound cards, soundblaster and diamond. The 3rd card I just put in is a $8.00 ebay card. I suppose it could just be the cheap sound card thats causing it?

Could I use another older soundblaster card? I had orginally installed 2 soundblaster audigy cards and could only get one of them to run with any applications. Then I read you need cards with different chip sets. Also I've read that this could possibly be a grounding issue. If anyone has any ideas I could try that would be great.

Are the scanners connected to the same antenna or different antennas?

If the same antenna then you'll probably need a multicoupler to eliminate it, I use an 8-port one to connect 8 scanners to the same antenna.

Something cheap to try would be to get an "audio ground loop isolator" from Radio Shack and connect it to the newest scanner feed. I ended up having to use them to prevent crosstalk between scanners connected to the same computer, for three scanner feeds you should only need one isolator since you can connect two scanners to it.

Right, they can't have the same chipset otherwise the drivers for the cards with the same chipsets get confused.

I now use 2 M-Audio 1010LT cards to connect 8 scanners to the same PC, each card gives me 4 stereo inputs and up to 4 can be installed in the same PC. They run around $200 each which comes out to $50 per stereo input.

The first two I hooked up were on different antennas. The third is sharing an antenna with one of the first two. It's an 850MHz yagi that runs through a stribesburge 4 port multicoupler. I'll check into the audio ground loop isolator and perhaps one of those nice sound cards. I suppose there is no trouble with crosstalk with one of them. Thanks for the suggestions.

The Rat shack ground loop isolater works very well. I highly recommend it for anyone having this issue. Thanks for the suggestion.
