Multiple grass fires Northern Weld county

Been listening to Weld Fire, and the call came in that there were multiple grass fires in this area. I can not say for sure the county roads in question. I got that back end of the call from another firefighter that it is possible in the 60's east/west and 60's north/south.

Just heard that Kersey fire is helping with these fires.

Also call just came in that they may of found the responsible party, and this is possible a control burn. So as I type this, the farmer is reporting that this is under control, and he is able to control the fires.

Hope he is right. Since there were multiple rigs heading that way.

Call just went out to stand down.

Sounds like fire crews have stayed on scene, and are finding that the rancher might not have the ability to keep up with the size of fire that he has started. Looks like the fire department is taking it upon themselves to put some of the fires out, due to being too close to some of the roads, and other properties.

So sounds like they are still working, and keeping an eye on this large controlled fire.

Location info is in the area of 62 and 55.

Now sounds like they are paging for trucks to start coming back out, since the wind is starting to pick up from the south. Also sounds like fire is taking over this controlled burn and bringing it to a stop. But also sounds to be a very large area that is burning, and crews are fighting multiple areas at the same time. Fire looks to be ready to jump county road 55.

Sounds like the activity has slowed down on these grass fires. And talks with the person who started this all.
