Multiple input console

Had a read of the forums, couldn't see this one pop up.
What I'd like to do is run 4 scanners into 4 separate sound cards and have a program show all 4 inputs and allow me to name all the inputs and independent volume control/mute. Kind of similar to a physical mixer, however I want to be able to shut down the program when not in use. Is this kind of stand alone software available? I've thought about the multiple ProScan windows but I'd prefer it all in one.

Not sure you will find a better solution than PROSCAN I am running it 7 times right now on the same computer hooked to 7 usb sound cards and 7 scanners running 24/7

If you have a Mac... google "rogue amoeba". I use Nicecast, Audio Hijack, Loopback. Works great and provides tons of control like what your after.
