Multiple lightning strikes in San Luis Obispo County since 6:00 AM. Noted hits in Pozo, Pismo Beach, and Creston areas. Units from Parkhill (Station 40) and La Panza (Station 41) stations making continous circuit of Pozo- Black Mountain area. 2 fires currently active in Pozo- Black Mountain area. At least one confirmed on Los Padres National Forest. First fire south of 2400 block of Highway 58, two diger pines ablaze, small grass patch, 1/4 acre. Second location near Navajo Flat inaccessible from the ground, about 10 acres so far. Air Attack 340 overhead doing recon. Navajo IC requesting Helitack, 3 additional engines (2 Type B's, 1 4WD) to scene, 1 Cuesta crew to stage at Parkhill station. OES 273 staffed and staged at station 40. Incident ordering transferred to Los Padres NF dispatch. Interesting sidenote: It took 1 1/2 hours for SLU ECC to reach Los Padres Dispatch. Apparently they weren't answering the phone.
