Multiple T/A I-76 west at MM 182 four vehicle possible two semis. One with multiple head wounds and starting cpr

One of the semis involved is a UPS truck and CSP HAZMAT e/r for appox. 100 gal. fuel spill. The injured party is possibly the UPS driver doesn't sound good.

This was three semis and a SUV. Only one patient. HAZMAT coming from Limon.

Yes it is, This is right at the junction to I-80, This one of the reasons the Interstate was never shut down was it would require NSP to shut I-80 down at the junct.

This was caused when the driver of a semi tried to turn around using the emergency turn around. This is when the second semi broad sided the first and then the UPS truck hit debris (axle of the first semi) and followed by an SUV. The driver of the first semi was pronounced at the hospital, all other driver were fine.

SEDGEWICK COUNTY - The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a deadly multi-car crash on I-76 near the Nebraska state line.

According to Master Trooper Watkins with the Colorado State Patrol, the accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Police said they do not know if weather contributed to the accident, but did say the accident involved up to four cars including a semi truck.

The driver of the semi truck was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the driver has not been released. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is under investigation.
