Anyone know or have a way to find out a new freq. I have checked the FCC site and can not find the freq needed. The Muscatine Fire Department has gone to a new radio format (away from digital) but through searching the scanner and checking the FCC site I have not been able to find the freq. If anyone has it or has a better way to find it please let me know. Thanks They are also no longer using the 154.250 channel that I thought they might but guess not.

Someone mentioned they were hearing motorbo digital on 151.175 which is a sheriff repeater. Since that has two audio channels per frequency, Maybe they moved there?

Yeah I have been hearing that as well, although I know that MCSO has used it for sometime as a digital coded channel. Do you know how to decode it to hear what is being said?

Basically... buy a MOTOTRBO radio and get it programmed for the system you want to listen to. There are currently no scanners on the market that will decode MOTOTRBO so you would need to get a MOTOTRBO radio. If it's encrypted, then even simple monitoring with the special radio would be out of the question. I'm not sure how MOTOTRBO's programming and privacy features work compared to other P-25 systems, so I can't really say anything without making uneducated guesses.

I was in Muscatine this morning and it sure "sounds" like Mototrbo. Wonder how they are going to address interoperability with P25? There has been rumor to future upgrades to Mototrbo radios to make them P25 compatible but you know how rumors circulate.
