I moved to TX in 2007 and been participating in the even pretty much ever since.
Last one , last year , was one of the more recent strings of disappointment.
You need to know that the first time I run MSWE , from battleship Texas , it was billed as " commemorating participation of US Navy during the June 6 invasion of Normandy".
Since I am a war baby, I have a soft spot in my hart to respect soldiers who are the reason I am alive today, regardless on which side they defeated fascism.

Well, it is no longer billed to honor anything, not even countless volunteers who keep the 70 years plus old war relics from rusting away.

OK, enough griping...

I really do not care for "computer generated QSO" , but lack of general US amateur population participation is heartbreaking.
