The Muskegon County Simulcast on RR currently lists 859.8875 twice. I wonder if one of those duplicate entries should really be 858.8875 which would then match up to the Twin Lakes site (where 858.8875 & 859.8875 are both listed).

I see that the Dupicate entry has been removed as of this morning.

Per the White lake fire authority facebook page..

A shout out the staff of Muskegon Central Dispatch for weathering the storm yesterday. A nearsighted bird flew into a transformer causing a significant power outage. That power outage took out radio communications, internet and phones for the majority of the day for all county Fire and Police services. They rose to the challenge and got everything back up and running while still answering every 911 call and getting the appropriate resources to the scenes.

Well done to all of the Dispatchers, Admin and IT staff!

I've heard talks about Muskegon possibly being encrypted. Anyone else hear anything similar?
Family member from Egleston Township Fire Department says they want everything encrypted, including most fire department channels.

Both police and fire dispatch are on the digital channels today. But the traffic is still coming through on the VHF channels too

Looks like ProMed is fully on the system. I see both portable and mobile radio IDs. I have identified a lot of paging talkgroups as well.

This is what i've got so far

Muskegon's VHF system is patched directly into the trunked system, so everybody with old radios is still heard on the new system

I don't know for sure but I think some of the in car radios are still analog. I was having issues missing a lot of traffic on SDRTrunk and was going to order another dongle. If they are responding on their analog radio I wouldn't be able to pick it up on SDRTrun
I heard the dispatcher telling the officer to use his portable during a chase last night.

I know the fire departments got all their portables the last couple weeks. Wonder if they haven't gotten to every car/truck yet

I am hearing all traffic on 800 system in the clear. I thought they were going to encrypt everything. I live in Ottawa County in Allendale

Yeah I just got my SDS100 today and everything is good. My 197 had a lot of simulcast distortion so I didn't have a good comparison to compare the SDRTrunk too

Analog traffic is directly patched into the 800MHz system, it will be Audible, but will not have a Radio ID (RID) assigned to it. It is one of the many cool features of P25.

Which one is ProMed?
Database shows 23222 as Promed.

Has anyone picked up any of the TAC channels? Heard them say switching to Tac 1 or Tac 6. I thought maybe they were encrypted but I heard a dispatcher advising units to break the perimeter and switch back to police main. This was on what's listed as "White Lake Fire Page" in the database.

Ive been trying to keep track of encrypted talkgroups, but all you get is a talkgroup id, no tags or aliases. So we can only assume what they are

Just curious if anyone in Muskegon can pickup anything else besides police, fire and ProMed dispatch? Don't ever hear anything else.
