A few minutes ago (Thursday) at 0910 hours local time I was monitoring 154.265 being used in the repeater mode and a very long list of agencies, mainly governmental, were being called. These included law enforcement, fire and rescue, other local governmental entities, ARES/RACES and more. A few minutes later the same list of entities, totaling 29, were called on 851.0125. This appeared to be a test of established mutual aid frequencies available in Southern Nevada. They were heard well in Arizona. These two frequencies along with some others might be good to keep in your scanner. The net control station was only called "Control".

The frequency of 154.265 is often called VFIRE22 and 851.0125 is called 8CALL90. Very Interesting.

Some of the 800MHz interop channels are permanently cross-patched over to some NV state/federal level VHF channels that thanks to SNACC, haven't really otherwise had any use in many years, and some of those old VHF ones are still repeaters.

In the distant past the LVMPD has used154.265, 154.280, 154.295 and 156.075 as repeaters patched to 800 MHz with the exception of 154.295 which might not have been patched. All were or are mountain top repeaters. That explains why I hear them in AZ. Hopefully, they will only be used for exercises.
