At around 15:35, Station 62 and Montgomery County Medic 329 were dispatched for an accident on PA 100 IAO Prizer Rd. Upon arrival, Captain 62 reported a 3 car MVA with multiple p/ts trapped. The assignement was upgraded to an MVA with entrapment, adding a full response from 62, 2 additional ALS units (MICU 67 and Medic 87-2), and an additional BLS from 87. At the time of the initial request, all medevac services were down due to weather.

As the crews were working, Medevac 3 became available and took the flight, with 64 dispatched for the LZ at 100 and Pughtown Rd. One confirmed pediatric patient was supposed to be flown to CHOP, however weather conditions prevented any air-med service to Philadelphia trauma centers. MICU 67-4 ended up taking that p/t to CHOP via ground. Medevac 3 ended up going to Reading; Medevac 6 to Lehigh Valley. 1 p/t was transported to Brandywine, with reports of an additional 4 BLS p/ts transported either to Pottstown or Phoenixville (the rig doing the transport was most likely MICU 167; Phoenixville's West End EMS is notorious for doing virtually all status changes via MDT).
