Collision kills woman, others hospitalized

SALT LAKE CITY -- A Salt Lake woman died, the result of a head-on collision on 2100 South Sunday afternoon.


Troopers say a van was heading east near State Road 201. It ran a red light and smashed into a car.

Maria Rodriguez, 19, was a passenger in that car. She died from her injuries.

The driver of the van and several passengers also went to the hospital with minor injuries.
