Yupiteru MVT-7100 issue

Hey all!

I just bought a used Yupi MVT-7100 off of eBay and I’m having an issue. The raid lo makes an odd “white noise” when listening to 162.487 but when I go to 162.500 our local NOAA weather radio station the signal is strong and the odd “white noise” falls off.

I would upload a video but I seem to be having trouble doing so.

If someone has any info that would be awesome.

The Yups are very bad in high RF areas and are prone to interference so there's probably nothing wrong with your radio. Other than that, great radios. "White noise" is a normal side effect of this brand, one of my all time fvorites.

Suggest you check the frequency. 162.487 would appear to be not a normal channel. When attempting to receive any signal slightly off-frequency, white noise ("frying eggs sound") will increase.
