My 396T is def or near def...Please help

Ok after I downloaded the Firmware 3.01.0 update the scanner seemed to work ok unit recently . It is not recieving any signal. Not even the local weather frequency. When its does, the signal is weak in nature. Even Dispatch which in fact located two miles from my residenced is weak,

To be honest one possiblity is that I might have broke something when it did fall once or twice.

make sure you dont have att on

There is a short (length) jumper from the SMA antenna jack to the circuit board. The odds are good that it has come unsoldered or has broken.

Sounds like a bad antenna connection (or as someone else said...you've turned on attenuation).

I'm going to guess you're not an electronics tech....and thus would suggest you take it to any competent radio repair shop and they can repair the antenna connection.
