MY 900 mhz phone

Question- Why won't this Pro-83 "find" cordless 900mhz phones?
I have to be practically right on top of my phone before the 83 locks on.

Any ideas?

For all the lawyers out there, I am referring to MY own personal phone in MY own home.

Because they are digital and can not be picked up on any scanner.

I can hear my 900 phone on my Pro-96 and my Pro-83.
Just curious as to why the 83 doesn't lock on during stalker but I can monitor my phone 50 feet away.

Because it is VERY low power.

I guess I can buy that. These phones have some pretty good range to be transmitting such a low power.

Also possible spread spectrum freq hopping... if so itll be hard to get a hit on it.

If he can hear it on a PRO-96 and PRO-83, it can't be spread spectrum.

You have to remember that nearfield strength (strong enough to count) is a lot stronger signal than it takes to merely receive.

not all of them are digital i pick them up better on my 2006 in wfm mode
