Alright folks, it's been a while since I've posted anything for my home setup. This is what I use to provide my feed (Rowan County Public Safety) in North Carolina. There's a link in my sig for it. It's by no means an elaborate setup, nor is my antenna setup outside. The antenna setup was made completely from scrap stuff and extra antennas I had. It works for what I need. Hope you guys like it !!

Shot of my desk:

Shot of the BCT-8 and RS Pro-2037 that provide the traffic for the feed:

Full shot of the antenna setup. At the top there is a "modified" RS Discone which feeds the RS Pro 2037, mid way a mobile Motorola 800 antenna that feeds the BCT-8, and at the bottom a mobile VHF 1/4 wave that will feed a mobile that I'm going to make into a desktop setup:

The last is a little bit closer shot of the antenna setup. It's a little fuzzy cause the comera didn't want to focus just right but you can make everything out:

Again, hope you guys enjoyed the pics !!!! Any feedback is appreciated !

Nice set up!

If I understand correctly what I am seeing, you have no center low band radial, and there are no downward 45 degree radials, just the horizontal radials. What band(s) are you able to pick up this way? Are you targeting a specific band? Just curious! Also, being that close to the trees, what are you doing for ground?

This model discone did not come with the center low band radial, and you are correct there are no 45 degree radials either. The horizontal radials I use to monitor VHF Hi with and it works extremely well. As far as a ground I've got a solid copper ground wire on the left hand side of the mast (out of sight of the camera) that runs down and is attached to the ground on an old cable box on the outside of the house.

I forgot that the RS discone doesn't come with the center radial! As long as it's working for ya, go for it! Nice job on the antenna set up and the drip loop!
