It has been awhile since you built this antenna. I thought I would follow up this thread by asking If you still use this antenna? What are your thoughts on this antenna now that you have had a lot time to use it?

It worked ok, but someone saw it when my wife was having a yard sale and we talked about it for about 20 minutes. I eventually gave it to him as I could tell he wanted it and wasn't to savy at making things himself.
It done well on VHF and UHF, but since I didn't have any close 800 MHz freqs to test it with, I can't really tell you much about that range. It did pull in the control channel of a system from about 45 miles or so away, but wasn't a strong enough signal to really do much with.

Thanks for the reply. I am wondering if it might work better at 800mhz if the elements were left straight and widened the cones to about 60°. I might have to try it both ways.
