Okay, So on the left in the gang charger is 5 Motorola MTS2000's in UHF 450-520 Ham use, then the Motorola XTS2500 in VHF Fire Dept. Use and a scanner, Both my minitor pagers in VHF (Minitor IV, Minitor III) Then a Motorola P1225 in UHF programmed for the local Ham repeaters, then my XTS5000 in 7/800 for my mutual aid authorized portable, Then my President Washington CB Base station, And a Kenwood TK-330 UHF for my Work's Talk channel, And that snake lookin thing on top of the CB is my Radio Strap for my Motorola Portables! Nice to see someone else keeping older Motorola gear in current use. I do something similar, using a VHF Maxtrac as a weather receiver, GR1225 VHF repeater, GR300 desktop UHF repeater for GMRS, some HT1250's for GMRS, and aXTS1500 as a scanner/interop radio (I use an APX4000 for daily use 7/800MHz), and a Cobra 2000 GTL as a CB base station setup. Thank you for sharing, and as for improving, just stay the course, unless you ever need to add P25 Phase II to your lineup.

I Have a Maxtrac in my truck! I also have a APX6000xe in VHF that was on my belt when I took that picture, And I have a APX7000xe in VHF and 7/800 to replace my XTS2500,
In my truck I have the following radio's
Motorola Maxtrac VHF for analog VHF ham
Motorola XTL-5000 VHF Used for my local Public Safety
Motorola XTX-2500 7/800 Used for my common mutual aid Public Safety
Motorola XPR 5550e in UHF for repeater's and DMR
And a Motorola XTVA (Converta-comm) for my XTS5000 in 7/800
And I drive a 2020 Chevy Silverado, With 6 (One reserved for future VHF or 7/800 use) NMO mounts in the roof in a upside down T shape!
I'll hopefully post a Picture of my mobile setup soon!

Nice collection. I still own a bunch of Motorola relics myself, they just won't die so I keep them. As for improvements, if it works for you you're good. I however would move the CB and drop an HF rig in it's place.

Those older Motorola's are great! I have the MTS2000's programmed with 16 Ham channels on zone A, And zone B/C are GMRS channels
And I'm contemplating getting an MTS2000 in VHF for a backup analog radio!
That was my plan! I already have a HF antenna hooked up to the CB so it would just be plug and play! Do you know of any good type's of rigs?
