Probably not the best way to go mobile with my HP-1, but until I win the lottery tonight (yeah right LOL), since funds are in short supply this will work.

I'm using a suction cup GPS holder stuck to my windshield, with the base of it resting on the top of the dashboard. With the HP-1 installed, it barely bounces around, and it's right in my line of sight, but does not block my view of traffic.

Do need to work on the wires if I plan on using there often.

What are you using for a antenna?

A simple mag mount antenna stuck to my trunk lid. Bought it off of e-bay a few years ago. Might be a Hustler brand, if I remember correctly. Works great; it can definitely pick up signals that the stock antenna can't pull in while in the car.

Looks great, I have been toying with idea of going home patrol mobile, at least while travelling.

That's a quick, easy install, and it looks good, too.

I agree about the antenna...I found out long ago that inside the car the stock antenna will give you some reception, but the best reception will be had when you connect to any type of external antenna.
The signals don't have to penetrate all that glass and metal.
