Hope someone can help.
My local PD changed last week to digital. I cannot find any information on the marcs radio talkgroups or anything. The information doesn't seem to be out there. I have searched fcc and of course radioreference and I get nothing. Did an update but it did not include us. Carey OH PD. We have a tower site here but that is the only thing I get on Carey search. Shouldn't the FCC database include the latest information?

Monitor the Carey MARCS Site in search/open/discovery modes to discover any new talk groups. The FCC does not assign or publish talk group information. We have all had to do this in the beginning. The RR database is comprised of members like us obtaining the information and submitting it into the database.

Are you sure they are switching to MARCS. I see the county is licensed for a MOTOTRBO/DMR system. Listen to the county VHF frequencies for digital transmissions (buzzing sounds), or use a DMR capable scanner.

If you're referring to the county SO License I can confirm they're still analog with a 141.3 PL.

I was passing through Carey on the 3rd and will review my recordings to see if anything popped up new on MARCS.

Thank You

Thanks for the replies.
I will start using close call and see what comes up. Figuring out things still. This new Uniden is a bit more complicated than my PRO-2006.
Carey definitely switched to something different in the last couple of weeks. Have friends on the PD and they are using something different. They don't get told the technical aspects, of course. They just know it's something different.
Thanks again for the replies and I will see what I can come up with.

I guess it looks like discovery mode is what I need to use. Tried that a couple of nights ago but didn't come with anything. Will have to look into it a little more.
