What a great looking setup! Very nicely done. Vehicles in general have become less and less conducive to radio mounting in general. Looks like you picked a good one for the hobby.

(Not to mention the guy's wearing the correct baseball cap too....Go Sox!)

Here are a couple pictures of the antennas.

The scanner antenna is a Maxrad.

The UHF is just a regular 6" antenna I forgot who makes it.

They both work great.

Yes Rescue, it is a Ford Crown Vic LX.

KC8JPZ: The plastic has been ripped off ever since I got the scanner, I can't stand keeping it on haha.

I have been playing with the idea of getting a console from Jotto Desk to house those 2 radios and a couple more (a VHF Kenwood, and a 800Mhz Kenwood both for my department), and I would probaly put the extra 2 antennas just inside the back window on the rear deck, what do you guys think about that?

I don't have bucket seats so the regular consoles for Crown Vics won't work.

Your welcome. Yeah I didn't want like 50 Million antennas on my car lol. I wish I could hide those both but I know I would loose performance.

Oops. I thought the plastic was still on the scanner. I guess that is a reflection that looks like the film. Anyways, can I rip the plastic off your next scanner? Oh, one more thing, that sure is a comfy tempature setting.

Nice install. BTW, both antennas appear to be MaxRad.

Many of your off-duty (extra job) police officers use cars like the cars you mention. Of course, there are plenty of nut jobs out there!
