Well after some serious thought I threw away the old desk and revamped my "office" I will post a "before" photo and multiple after shots. Comments or ideas are welcome. There is some work left to do. There is a wall mounted HDTV and couch out of the shot but I plan to mount a smaller HD monitor over the desk so I do not need to turn around when I am facing the longer section of desk. I plan on running the spectras into the ground and then working on acquiring some XTL5000 radios (UHF and VHF) but since I have my Astro portables I really do not need the bases. I am very happy with the fact that there are no visible wires in relation to the radios mounted under the cabinets, and no they do not go up into the cabinets either! I cleared all the paper work off my desk and took down some personal things off the walls so I know it looks bare and no I do not normally have all my portables lined up there like that. I guess I have a bit of an OCD when it comes to neatness of my installations In my off time from classes I am an electrician.

Headboard installation
Also, I recently got a new bedroom set after my bedroom was remodled and I of course added a radio :) This is a remote mount unit I actually cut the remote cable and spliced it back together so I could run the cable through the preexisting holes for the lamp wires. The speaker is tucked away under the other corner of the headboard.

First, nice setup. Second, obviously not married:lol: (I'm lucky my wife lets me have a shortwave on my bedstand). Third, maybe just a little OCD:D

The new setup was very nicely done. Kudos. I have to agree with Larry about not being married. When I did a number on my Chevy Lumina by stacking a CB unit and 2 different scanners on the tranny hump, my wife said to me sarcastically 'What do you want to do next, buy a Crown Vic?"
Good job!
