Now i have my own thread! (Sorry DagWag for riding on your post)

The desk is from Functional Furnishings (now out of business). I live in a loft so my antennas are limited. I am using several mag mounts on a steel monitor stand placed on the top shelf. Does anyone know of an inexpensive indoor active antenna for HF monitoring?

Matt

Nice clean look. And like someone else said, hardly any wires.

Here's my guess....

Top Shelf - Uniden BC-898T

Mounted below that: Left to Right:
Unknown CB radio
Realistic PRO-2096
ICOM IC-2200H
ICOM either an IC-208 or ID-800
and on the desk a Yaesu FT-450 HF

Matt, are either of those ICOM's got DSTAR installed in it? I'm using DSTAR down here, my repeater is gatewayed you should give me a hollar some time. KB5FSV port C is what I hang out on. The rpt is KI4TMJ/G

Very simple, yet functional. Great job.

Love the Coast to Coast AM page on the PC. There's a George Noory UFO special on SciFi right now.

Hi Nexus,

You are correct on my equipment list! And yes, the 2200H has the D-STAR board. I will see if I can get into the local repeater (W8DIG) and gateway to your machine.

Take care!

heh I hope you don't try to call me tonight. I'm at work and the HT is turned off in the POV. I see you made it into the repeater at least once. Oh and I forgot to mention the Motorola portable on the desk XTS3000 perhaps?

I like that a lot. I like the way you mounted your scanners and there are not wires everywhere.

What kind of mobile antennas are you using and for monitoring what?
Looking to try a mobile out in the house myself.
