My Pro-95 works on rebanding

I just reprogrammed my pro-95 and it works on the new rebanding frequencies in Huntsville Al. What a surprise.

Not at all surprising. All the freqs. in that system have a 5 in the 4th decimal place and are not affected by rebanding. If 1 or more had a zero in that 4th place you would not hear those freqs., but you would hear all the others.

Maybe that point needs to be said more often. I just heard the older scanners won't work. That is a relief to many.

If all of the voice frequencies in the system adhere to 8xx.xxx5 MHz, older scanners will follow. If there is a voice frequency of 8xx.xxx0 MHz, then any transmissions on those specific frequencies will not be followed.

After the UCAN system rebanded last year, I put this article about what we found in the RR Wiki.

Be aware that this only applies to Motorola 800 MHz systems.
