Here's my monitoring post in New Zealand
The radios are a Kenwood TS850SAT and a Icom IC 7400 radio.
Also in the pic is a Yaesu FT1500M vhf radio 137mhz till 174mhz.
Also a Kenwood TS50s hf radio.
Active on 80/40/20/17/15/12 mtr ham bands.
All run on wire antennas and vertical antennas.
Also enjoy vhf dxing in the summer months.

cheers from Jason in NZ.

Hi Crayon

I live in a town called Wanganui which is in the lower north island and the west coast line.
About 150kms north of Wellington.

I sure like my FT-1500. It makes a great scanner as it has better sensitivity, selectivity, and sound quality than any scanner I've had. A real bear to operate in comparison to scanner with the skip and priority functions being very cumbersome however.

Cheers Jason!

I listen to RNZ on 9870 many mornings here when I sit down to check my email and do work stuff before I head out. They come in real well most days, 7-9am on the east coast.

One of these days I will get there. It has moved pretty far up my travel list now but the wife and I have to take a break from travelling for a while to pay some bills ;)

Oh yeah, nice neat shack too. Mine is getting close since my move a year ago. Maybe one day soon I'll get some pics posted. I'll have a before and after..

See ya!
