I’m here in Northeastern Wisconsin and although I wouldn’t exactly call the shortwave bands crowded, DXing has actually been kind of interesting for the past few days here. I’ve gotten a couple of new for me catches, and some of the really reliable stations have been booming. But I guess I’d say there have been just enough interesting catches to keep me happy.

How has everyone here been finding the airwaves?

Things are interesting again this morning. At about 1650 UTC I got signals from Mali and Madagascar.

Sounds like you've been having a good stretch with DXing lately! Mali and Madagascar at 1650 UTC are great catches. The bands have been active recently, with strong signals from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Some regular stations, like BBC and RFI, are booming in, and folks are reporting good conditions on lower bands (60m, 80m) in the mornings. In the area, people are also hearing some rare Latin American stations, like Radio Habana and Radio Quito. Any other interesting catches for you recently?
