My wife calls them "Noise-Makers" and tell me I love them more than her cuz i spend more time with them!

probably because he was scanning a band not allowed. If you notice that scanner was the European version. So it has cellular band unblocked. :wink:

btw, what's a nice desk full of scanners...

Correct!
The UBC780XLT is the cellular unblocked version bought in the UK & the Icom IC-R10 is the #15 cellular unblocked version bought in Canada.... there are also some AOR3000A, IC-R3 and AOR8200MKIII unblocked versions not shown in the photos....
They really serve no purpose anymore cuz the bands are now dead due to new 1.8GHz & 1.9GHz GSM, CDMA and TETRA infrastructure being installed
