My simple install...

So this is what I have mounted in my 2006 Jetta. BCT15X mounted under the drivers seat, with the remote head stuck in between the center console grab handles. It actually fits nice and tight there just by friction, no screws needed. I have a mini external speaker mounted to the left of the steering wheel, and a Comtel scanner antenna on a trunk lip NMO mount...

I agree with emcomm, it's a great thing when things "just fit." Saves a lot of frustration and hair pulling (yes, I speak from experience LOL).
