My Target Rich Town

Sturgis SD, I live downtown and I mean Right Downtown! This weekend begins the 74th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. I have my old Pro-2006, new 536HP, new Elad SDR and dongle SDR all hooked up and listening. Nearly every single HP unit in the state is in town this week. Four LE at every intersection downtown and 4 per block in every alley downtown. 5 of the biggest bars in the US are within a 3 block radius of me, all with huge concerts at night. Huge campgrounds, some with 50,000 campers are just outside of town. Homeland Security with 32 new cameras in a 3 block area. Well, you get the idea. Some pretty good scanning this week.

Next year I need to figure out how to broadcast this from here.

I'd rather rent my house out for the week than listen to the scanner, lol! When I went to the rally in 2003, I think we paid a little over $2,000 to rent a house from someone. But back on topic, I bet you're going to hear a lot of stuff this week!
