When I last programmed it with the g Pager software is frozen and won't Even let me switch knobs or anything. How do I fix this I've never had this Happen before.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have had something similar happen to me. I ended up pulling the battery. That often fixes many problems; make the firmware start from scratch. Good luck.

If pulling the battery doesn't fix it. Try reinstalling the firmware. It might not enter the PC Connected mode though.
How do I install the firmware at all I’ve never done that before?

Try the 3-button reset.
How do I do the 3 button reset? Because it's back not letting me switch zones. It is stuck scanning and won't lock onto any towers.
This pager is more trouble than it's worth. I really don't want to spend another $220 to send it in a second time this is the third 1ID on having to send this one in these pages seem to have a lot of problems broken USB ports bad bad processors that make it freeze and then you have to send it in and spend all that money again this thing seems like it's more trouble than it's worth and I should just sell it or use as a paperwork or a doorstop rather than spend all that money again to get another 1 It doesn't work after a while.
Had mine, since the end of December 2021 without any trouble. I do use the drop in charger for charging.

I have had trouble this is the second one ive had and it is now freezing getting stuck on scanning and once i program it with the software it sometimes work but now it freezes wont let me change zones or knobs. The volume knob wont even display the volume number or recieve calls at all. I dont want to spend another $220 to send it in to unication this will be $600 in a year and a half and a third pager that i have spent for that money i can get a uniden sds 100 that wont do this to me.
Can anyone assist me in why this thing won't work i dont know anything about these pagers and nobody is of help on here?
I tried that it still won't do anything. It's stuck saying scanning I can't even adjust the volume or even change zones then it will freeze. Nobody on here will help me.
Keep posting same thing over and over, I’m sure that will help. Or contact your dealer.
Unfortunately They told me that I would have to probably send it in again I don't want to spend another $220 Which would be $600 in the last year and a 1/2 alone this would be the third pager that I would have to have sent to me after sending this one back I would rather not spend another $200 again this thing isn't worth $600 that this would be the third 1 i'd rather just get a scanner barricade SDS 100 of that that is good with simulcast since this thing is good with Simon cast I just don't want to spend another you know like I said that much money and then it gets sent back to me another 1 and then that 1 does the same thing a year later these things seem to have a common occurrence with these problems and I don't want to go through it anymore I just don't find it worth my money again
Is this the same G4 you are selling as new, but forgot to mention it was frozen, out of warranty and needs to be sent back to Unication?

This is what the pager does it gets stuck scanning i think the processor is no good in this thing because when i try and turn the volume knob it wont even display the volume level and it won't ever lock onto a trunk site anymore. Then it freezes thanks everyone for your help i thought this forum was a good place to get help with these kind of things none of you are a help.
