I have the Uniden Scanner that you simply enter zip codes into and on my normal drive e from Laramie to Rock Springs when entering those zips no longer seems to pick up WYO LINK or the the WSP. I still hear the local SO's etc. Did something change? I am not very technical and don't have specific frequencies entered so perhaps I have to? Also, I have never picked up the WDOT units either (Plows in the winter). Any help is appreciated.

I had the same thing happen with the Michigan MPSCS recently. I haven’t had a chance to sort it out, but I am curious to see what comes up here.

WHP, WYDOT, and SALECS all have the location set to the geographic center of the state, and a range of 225 miles. If you're hearing local radio traffic, you will be able to hear WHP, as long as there's a trooper's radio affiliating with whichever site/s you're monitoring. WHP and SALECS are Law Dispatch, and WYDOT are Public Works.

You should create a favorites list just for WyoLink and turn off the nationwide database.

I'd recommend programming only the sites/departments/talkgroups you're interested in hearing into favorites lists via Uniden Sentinel. Drawback about Sentinel is it adds every site & department systemwide and you need to later go through and remove the ones you don't need out of the favorites list. Proscan allows for choosing only the sites, departments, etc you need but the only caveat is you would need a Radioreference Premium Subscription to utilize the RR web import service. Another thing I'd advise checking to ensure the appropriate service types are turned on for the talkgroups you want to hear (refer to "Tag" column per talkgroup table in the RRDB) otherwise traffic won't be passed through said talkgroups
