I figure as much

Here they are, I get better shots tomorrow.

Left to Right, Roof Top Antenna-VHF Quterwave No Gain 152-160, for scanner tried 800mhz found out that quterwave worked better for some reason. 2nd. UHF 5/8 Wave 3db gain 3/4 Hole mount 450-470. 3rd. Vhf Quterwave 152-160 for VHF repeater, nothing all that special. However, I'm sitting on a 5/8 wave 3db gain 43" whip for rural opts if need be will be testing it soon. Plan on getting quterwave uhf antenna or a radome of types. Any ideas? Seen the premier model, not to sure I want to dish out 38.00 bucks for it thow wideband coverage 406-512 so I guess its a give and take.

Icom

Icom is my first choice, features & cost & realiablity. Followed by the big M, not so much on the other levels of classfications. As far as antennas go, I choose Antennex or Maxrad, the roof antenna was a good buy, so I choosed that and can't beat the fact that its 13ft tall.
