For those new to scanners: We usually don't call what a scanner receives a "feed." We call it a radio system or radio signal. A "feed" is sending the audio output from a scanner over the internet. Internet feeds came along much later than scanners.
I think you misunderstood the comments. The subject, in short, is about the loss of north east south carolina internet feeds from broadcastify, and people purchasing personal scanners to replace that loss so we arn't depending on third parties for the content. Horry County had about 5 or so feeds that just vanished with no explanation from the feed provider. It was a major loss (IMHO) to the area since the streams were fairly popular. I choose to purchase a receiver instead of waiting for another "feed provider" because of the major feed loss on broadcastify. The sub discussion was about one of us who purchased receivers, to begin providing streams on broadcastify to replace those losses. I don't think anyone confused the two terms.
*** Ok, I just went over the messages, and I did in fact use the word "feed" improperly in relating to a transmission. It was an innocent mistake, and misused that word by accident. It was a grammatical error I made, but I surly know the difference. I apologize for the error, it wasn't intentional.
