n00b questions about the 800...

just received mine a couple days ago.

lots of changes for my previous uniden 250... lol..

anyways:

1. without the SD card, the 800 will NOT work, right? i see everytime i turn it on, it reads the card so that means to me the 800 is dumb without it...

2. how much of the RR database is included? reason i asked, OAKLAND (CA) was not in the in the library, as far as i could see and even when i think i manually added it, i cant see to receive any of them, including today when a massive "occupy oakland" event was happening...

3. can i just scan just one scanlist?

yesterday, there wasnt one.

In answer to your questions ldivinag.

1. It won't work without the microSD card. The scanner operating instructions are stored on the card and have to be loaded into the scanner each time you turn the scanner on.

2. Already answered by kingmobileaudio.

3. You can scan any number of scan lists but you HAVE to scan at least one. So yes you can scan just one, just select the one you want.
