Hi Philidelphia,

The word cheap and digital is an oxymoron right now, but the cheapest digital scanner you are going to find is the pro96. It has it's own discriminator output ready to use, so no need to do surgery, and there is a "trunker-type" program made for it to track 9600 baud systems. If the new retail price is too high check out ebay, or "equipment for sale" on this forum. Sometimes one comes up used, but they go fast!

Richster

Hmmmm looking at a post in equipment for sale, someone has a pro96 for sale. From my understanding in that post, it looks like you will have to tap the discriminator (requires surgery) if you want to run software like trunker and etrunk for 3600 baud control channels .

Richster.

Thanks alot richster, I really do appericate this. I will be doing surgery, as I want to do 3600 buad scanner.

I'm very tempted to do so with my bc250d, But it was just to expensive to really plugin the solder gun and give it a go along with that, the mod from mods.dk isnt proven to work ;/

Edit: On a 2nd though, what would be decent base model to do such things, pc controled, able to mod it for discmtaps, etc?

Thanks again
