I recently purchased a BCD996XT and have two questions. [1] While scanning a particular system, can I go to and scan a group wihin that system? [2] If scanning multiple systems, can I go to and scan a particular system without turning all other systems off?

I recently purchased a BCD996XT and have two questions. [1] While scanning a particular system, can I go to and scan a group wihin that system? [2] If scanning multiple systems, can I go to and scan a particular system without turning all other systems off?

This is where the System and Group Quick Keys are used.

With the groups assigned GQK's (Group Quick Keys) you simply turn off the ones you don't want to hear.

Same thing with the System Quick Keys (SQK's),

From the way you worded the last question I have the feeling that you are already aware of this and you are looking for a different answer. Sorry but that's about as simple as it can get. One thing you might want to consider is keeping SQK 0 through 9 for the systems you monitor the most. Then it's just a matter of pressing one key to either turn it on or off.
