Anyone know what scanner was referred on this site before that I think was either $30 or $60 bucks.

It was small and came with headphones.

I wanted to show it to someone but couldn't find it anywhere on a forum search.

Hmmm

Well, I guess they got rid of the Pro-84 anyway, oh well.

Is there any other non-expensive scanner that doesn't have to have trunking, just as long as it can do Cambria County, PA (453.xxx), NYPD/FDNY, and Somerset, PA (800 mhz, non-trunking).

800 MHZ isn't totally needed but would be nice to have.

The BC72XLT is a nice compact basic scanner ( have seen these at Wally world by the way) and Rad Shack has the Pro 135 and Pro 82 in store only at a reasonable price.

There are plenty of low priced scanners on ebay that will fit your needs. I'm surprised at how inexpensive they are (some less than $20.00)! Many are new in the box too.

Radio Shack has a discontinued scanner on sale for $79.97 that is conventional only.
