During my most recent visit in early November 2011 the FD was simplex on 154.43 141.3 and 159.09 D411 was the repeater output which is the way it has been for several years. Use of 153.83 and 154.145 seems to be pretty limited during my visits. I usually travel to the island on business a couple of times a year.

Thanks Gordon. It could be either I guess. I was parked at dispatch, and I heard activity on both. My best observation was I got full scale hit on 159.090 at dispatch, and then followed by audio coming out on 154.430, less signal.

In the operation of a repater, there is typically a 1/2 second delay between the audio path. The person transmitting on the input, that audio one would hear 1st, then the rptr output audio (other freq) would be later (1/2 second or less). So that is what I seemed to conclude to, the 154.430 was the output.

Though you believe it's the other way around, 159.090 is the rptr output - you could be right. You were there after I was, so who knows.

Either way, we are both correct both frequencies are in use - making a VHF rptr !

What would make our day, they actually modify their FCC license to reflect proper operation of the radio system, reflecting a VHF repeater pair.....
