I woke just after the event happened. I normally scan Napa city and county (along with tons of other stuff). I thought it was crazy to 'all of a sudden' hear so much traffic at 3:30 Sunday morning, especially after the normal stuff had died down. The two most notable channels that really came alive for me (albeit not at 3:30) was CHP Grape and Cal Fire CMD 1.
Wife got a breaking news notification via e-mail Sunday morning...aprox 8 a.m CST Monitored the Napa County Fire and CAL FIRE LNU East fire OPS audio feed....it was the only one that I could find not knowing any better.....quite impressed with the ICS ....first earth quake OPS that we have ever monitored.
I was up there covering the quake. At the press conference Monday morning, the Napa Fire Chief said in 30 hours, the Napa FD ran 360 calls, and figure most of those came early on.
