OHIO - The New Albany Police Department will use a new method of communication next year. The tower that currently holds the NAPD's radio antenna will be torn down at the end of the year, so village council last week approved a resolution to contract with the state's multi-agency radio communications system (MARCS) to replace the current system.

Until they realize they can't effectively monitor surrounding agencies without using a separate radio, or using a single radio and leaving their home system to monitor.
