I am visiting in Chicagoland and set up my BCD996T with DuPage and Kane Co freqs just in time for the 2nd round of thunderstorms to roll through this morning. The Naperville TRS apparently took a good lightning strike (we are only about a 1/2 mile away and lost power for about 5 minutes) knocking the whole system off the air for several hours. Interesting that the system did not go into failsoft or backup mode.
I am not sure where PD traffic went- but was able to find their fire dispatch operating on Aurora TRS Fireground-1.
Dispatch just advised units to return to the Naperville system at 1120 HRS.
