So I've searched about everywhere I can think of and can't find the answer, when narrobanding occurs, will the interop frequencies change, if so, can someone post a list of the new ones?

Thanks,

Eric

Narrowbanding does not always [sometimes and agency will decide to change frequencies, but it is not required] involve a freq change.

"Narrowbanding" doesn't change a frequency, period. An agency may choose to switch to a different frequency which is narrowband only and appears "narrowbanded"... 154.43 will still be 154.43..... but from wide to narrow emissions. 154.4375 and 154.3225 are narrowband only channels on both sides of 154.43 and never (really) allowed wide emissions.

Eric,

To answer you question any established Interop frequency will stay the same. The emmision will change from WFM to NFM.

If your talking about the "National Interoperability" radio channels, those will not change. If your talking about some channel that an agency is using, that will depend on what they do with their radio systems. In most cases, the channels being used today will be the same as the channels they would use come January 1st of 2013.

Only change will be going from the band width they are now using to a lower deviated modulation. If you don't have the ability to change your receiver from wide to narrow, you will have to turn up the volume control more to get the received audio at the same loudness.
