Narrowbanding and the UNIDEN 996xt

For conventional channels (analog or digital) from 150.8 - 161.995 should the mode's step be edited to either 7.5 or 12.5 or left at the scanner's default of 5?

Almost everything between 150.8-162.0 is 7.5 kHz steps.

From another post I recently made on the topic.

Menu > Settings > Band Defaults > 150.8

Press E, set Modulation to NFM, press E, set Step to 7.5 kHz, press E, press L/O to exit the menu

If you have custom searches programmed in the VHF range, make sure you have them set for NFM/7.5 kHz as well.
