Narrowbanding/Splinters and the TK-X80 series

Can anyone answer the following questions for me, for certain, not just speculate?

1. Can the TK-780 do both narrowband voice (12.5kHz deviation) and splinter VHF channels (2.5kHz channel spacing)?

2. Can the TK-880 do narrowband voice?

3. How many conventional channels can the TK-980 (800MHz) do?

4. What would be the closest Kenwood radio (in your opinions) for lowband (42-50MHz) to match a tree of X80s?

Bonus Question: How good (in your opinions) is the TK-981 (900MHz) for ham?

2) Yes
3) 250 conventional channels
4) I have a TK-6110, OK if you don't need more than 32 channels
Bonus-don't really know, but would like to try someday to weigh the hassle to the fun...
