Nashville Data

In monitoring the P-25 system that Nashville Fire Department uses, I notice that the data talk group comes up frequently. So I wondered... instead of simply skipping data, what equipment would be needed to actually read these data transmissions, assuming of course that they are not encrypted. And, does this data also use the P-25 protocol? I'm assuming I would need an extra scanner to pick up the info, so it would seem to be fairly easy to program it with only the one talk group.
Anybody out there have any answers? I do have a couple of the motorola MDT setups if I need them. At least they're cool looking!

Exactly why do you need access to the data? What do you need to know that can't be answered by the active incidents page on NFD's website: http://www.nashfire.org/live_inci/Incident.htm

Last time I checked the MDT data is encrypted and proprietary and getting the software is not possible.

Not to mention ILLEGAL and add to that since EMS uses MDT now HIPPA comes in to play
