Nashville PD Dispatch

Is Metro PD starting to consolidate its overnight dispatch? Around 2 am this morning I noticed the following consolidation:

North and West

East and Central

Have they been doing this in the past and I just didn't notice it?

Yeah i've noticed it from about the beginning of October last year around 2 am they combine those frequencies as well as Hermitage and South. But it's only on weekdays. On Fri, Sat, and Sun they don't combine.

What talkgroup

That's really interesting. What talkgroup(s) do the use when they combine the different precincts?

2nd question if anyone knows: Do you ever hear Chief Serpas on the radio? I would assume he's on countywide?

After 2 am weekdays combined channels are as follows:

Hermitage-South: Units use Hermitage (10256)
North-West: Units use North (10064)
East-Central: Units use East (10160)

All other talkgroups stay the same such as car to car, etc. For example if a South unit is wanting to go to "advent" with another they will go to the South car to car channel (talkgroup) rather than Hermitage.

As i listen on Friday 0300 at work the precincts are combined with the above stated combos with the exception Hermitage-South. I stated that when patched together they use Hermitage, well tonight (or this morning) they are using South (10192). It should all go back to normal around 0700.

It would made sense to use South. Seems like more action there rather than the Hermatige sector.

I agree. Hermitage area used to be under South before the Hermitage precinct went in. I go back to work Tues night 2200-0600 so I will check again and see what they consolidate to. I have heard them use Hermitage when they were combined before but like I said my previous post they were using south last Fri morning. But the others after 2am are standard.
