Anyone know what the transmitter tone on 46.100 for Nassau County base stations is? We're trying to identify some co-channel traffic lighting up a repeater in California, and it's pointing in this direction.

Thanks!

Are you seeing a tone out there?
It's tripping a particular receiver on a voted system that should be set to decode 162.2Hz. We don't know for certain it's Nassau, however an address in Bellmore, NY was dispatched, it's fire-type traffic, and the accents fit ;)

Don’t think I have ever seen a tone on that freq and one is not listed in the db. I checked another site and don’t see one listed there either.

I found this thread that mentions pl 100.0.

There’s a few Nassau guys and one who keeps changing his name. I’m sure one of them will add.

I see a lot of UHF channels with 162.2 PL. I would suspect someone may have a cross band repeater to 46.10 with "flat audio" for paging that is not filtering the PL out on the 46.100 side rather than an intentional PL on that frequency.

That is highly likely - excellent thinking... I only see one UHF fireground channel with 162.2 on it, doesn't look like anything crossbanded has 162.2 on it, but then again, it could be one of their Medcom channels getting patched into lowband, who knows. Thanks!

46.10 in Nassau is CSQ for the county.

I know North Bellmore Dispatch (they dispatche multiple depts.) used to run a PL tone of 100.0 probably so members listening can tune out everyone except their dispatcher.
