If I want to put Natchez PD/FD in my BC 796D scanner, what do I need to do?

I am going to put in an empty bank in channel 1 of that bank 453.2625; in channel 3 of that bank 453.4125; in channel 5 of that bank 453.7375; in channel 7 of that bank 460.2625; and, in channel 9 of that bank 460.4625. Is it correct to leave empty the even channels?

Next, I’m going to set the trunk settings to “LT”. In that that there are no known reported talk groups, do I just put it in the search mode?

What am I doing wrong? Please correct my errors.

Thanks.

Passport System

McReb, RR database shows the system you are trying to track is LTR Passport. I don't think any current scanners support trunk tracking passport,
only regular LTR is supported to my best understanding.

You must enter each freq as conventional, and NO delays.... If you add delays you will lock on one freq only and be annoyed with the data bursts every 2 or so seconds... The info on chan lineup is from a dispatcher for the PD, and from FD. If they ever get a scanner out that can TT on PP systems .. then we will get the actual TG"S

If your around the Natchez area, listen for the new SO/EOC UHF freq for activity would ya?
