Natchez Trace Ranger frequencies

[WCRS1446]

My fire district covers a good part of the NT Park system in Williamson COunty. I have the vhf frequencies for their dispatch in my handheld. However I am confused as to where they dispatch from. Someone told me they dispatch from Mississippi on a satellite system with a vhf link in Williamson County. Just curious if anyone out there knew any thing about their system?

That is true, they are dispatched out of Lee County, MS (Tupelo). When the NPS dispatcher is out of service, the Lee County Sheriff's Office dispatches the rangers. Their are a series of links throughout the Trace.

But it is not satelite based. Simple remotes.
